2006 T-bar-T Cuvée R (Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier blend)
This is a unique blend of Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Viognier. The grapes come from the T-bar-T vineyard in the Alexander Valley. The perfume of the smells exactly like the vineyard smells in spring, when all the white flowers are in bloom. This is our last vintage of producing this special, proprietary white.
Food Pairing
A great vegetable wine - especially with anything to do with tomatoes and basil or a raw zucchini salad with rice wine vinaigrette. Also delicious with Florida stone crab, grilled lobster, crab tacos, bay scallop ceviche in butter lettuce cups, broiled white fish with a tangy sauce, grilled chicken Pad Thai and grilled plums with shiso.
Accolades
The current vintage was awarded 90 points from Wine Enthusiast. The prior vintage received 93 points in Wine Enthusiast. Robert Parker and Wine Enthusiast named the 2004 "Editor's Choice" with a 91 point rating. The 2003 was awarded 90-point ratings.
